Change Detection in Multilook Polarimetric SAR Imagery With Determinant Ratio Test Statistic

In this article, we propose a determinant ratio test (DRT) statistic to measure the similarity of two covariance matrices for unsupervised change detection in polarimetric radar images. The multilook complex matrix is assumed follow scaled Wishart distribution. doing so, provide distribution DRT that exactly Wilks’s lambda second kind distribution, with density expressed terms Meijer G-functions. Due constant false alarm rate (CFAR) algorithm derived order achieve required performance. More specifically, threshold provided by CFAR apply producing binary map. Finally, simulated and real SAR (PolSAR) data are employed assess performance method compared Hotelling–Lawley trace (HLT) likelihood (LRT) statistic.
